“African Music on the 10-Note Kalimba” is an 82-page downloadable PDF ebook, formatted for your tablet or phone, typically with a four-measure phrase per screen. Live links on each page facilitate downloading the MP3 files that show you how the music goes. All but two of the 18 songs are traditional karimba or mbira songs. A total of 16 learning exercises are included. This book is called an advanced book, although a truly dedicated beginner could probably get through it. The book could prove quite difficult for most beginners, and I recommend that you spend some time working on the other 10-Note books (Fun and Games on the 10-Note Kalimba, or Everything You Need to Play the 10-Note Kalimba) before you start work on the African book.

Traditional songs in this download include: “Shumba Panzira,” “Bunga Utete,” “Chemtengure,” “Kana Ndoda,” “Butsu M’Tandari,” “Kuzanga,” “Sadza Madya Here,” “Meria,” and “Wa Kalulu.”

This ebook can also be used to instruct you on the lower 10 notes of the 17-Note kalimba in C.

“New Day”, a song in the style of traditional mbira music, and the final song in this instructional download.
