Many people have been eyeing these nice kalimba bags made by Louise Sloman-Fuller. Louise knows kalimbas - she worked at AMI in South Africa for almost 20 years, taking big orders and organizing kalimba shipments all around the world. Now she makes arts and crafts, including these sweet, unique bags for kalimbas.

If you have been sitting on the sidelines, now is the time to jump in and make your move with this 25% coupon code.

These bags come in two different styles - quilted (padded for more kalimba protection) and budget (less padded, and less expensive). They come in three different sizes: small (typically for one kalimba in its cardboard box), medium (typically for two kalimbas, or one sansula), and large (for three kalimbas or two sansulas).

And you can get 25% off one or more of these bags with the coupon code BAG25.

In Louise's own words:

"The quilted kalimba bags I make are sewn in such a way as to protect your instrument: Each bag contists of 3 layers - 2 layers of fabric with a layer of batting in between. These 3 layers are laid out and quilted together before being cut to size and sewn together in the bag shape. I have put in pockets in some for your convenience in carrying other things you might need and used the best webbing I could find for straps.
"The small bags are made with quilted taffeta sewn in. Some have small artworks as pockets. The medium and large bags are made with batting and lining fabric that is quilted to the outer layer which is an artwork made up of pieces of fabric sewn together in specific designs. I like to use 100% cotton as much as possible but it is not always best for the linings.
"The budget bags I make are simple fabric bags in various sizes to fit kalimbas. I like to recycle offcuts and end of the roll fabric or repurpose cloth that was previously used for something else in order for it not to end up in a landfill."

As you can see, quite a bit of thought and quite a bit of work has gone into making these kalimba bags.

I personally have long been coveting several of these bags, and finally I broke down and got into them - but I've limited myself to just two - a small quilted bag which I use for a purse when I don't have any good pockets (and besides, it's always great to have a kalimba in your purse, just in case); and a large quilted bag which I mainly use as the most beautiful laptop case that I've ever owned.
