The Wah Wah Effect :
Explore the Expressive Kalimba

Some of my students are so worried about getting the notes right that they forget to explore the wah wah. Another student of mine is very tuned into things like the wah wah. He starts there, then moves on to figuring out which notes to play. Something that I learned long ago is that HOW you play the notes is often more important than exactly what notes you play, and the wah wah is how you make a simple kalimba expressive.
