The Best Kalimba for Advanced Players

Basically, as an advanced player, you want to be challenged with new things. And there are many ways to make things new - you could journey deep into the Alto or Treble kalimbas. Or you could journey into the Pentatonic kalimba and explore new tunings, seeking to create your own sound. Or you could journey into the uniquely joyful, traditional African sound with the African-tuned Karimba. Or, you could experiment with new electronic sounds using any kalimba with a pickup to trigger interesting sounds from effects processors.

I have spent the last twenty years exploring the kalimba. Yet, when I meet someone else who has been exploring the kalimba, I find that they have uncovered OTHER wonderful things. It is a wide and open field, and I invite you to come and explore with us!
