TIP OF THE DAY
August 15, 2006 This tip uses KtabS. Look at the tip for Tuesday, July 25, 2006 for information on using KtabS. We continue with "thumb picking" riffs for various chords, which is analogous to finger picking on guitar. Here is an example for the D chord:
The most important aspect of this thumb picking riff is that the right thumb is doing a constant part that alternates between the "1' and the "5" notes (this is like an alternating bass which the thumb might do in guitar finger picking ).
