Simple Riff with the Colin Walcott Tuning

We are exploring the Colin Walcott tuning for the 8-Note kalimba. Here is a simple riff you can do. The first part and the second part harmonize with each other:

If you look at the first four notes of the riff, you see that they are dotted quarter notes, so they each get a beat and a half, which turns out to be the same as three eighth notes. Tomorrow, we'll see how to make this same pattern, but with two extra eighth notes in between each of the notes in today's "backbone" riff.
