More on Labeling Kalimba Tines
Here's a tip written by Percy (Mwana) Dee:
I just read your tip about writing
the note names on the tines. It is of interest for beginners and advanced
players as well. When I learned the note arrangement on the Treble
and Alto Kalimba, I used a label maker to make alphabets to stick on
the tines in a V shape arrangement. But instead of sticking them on
the tips of the tines where they would interfere with playing, I stuck
them about a little more than an inch from the tips, so
you can easily view the name of the notes in a V pattern. This is also
reccommended with kalimbas with a different original note arrangement
than the Hugh Tracey.
