Learning Sansula by Learning Chords

The new sansula book offers a range of approaches to the instrument. Learning chords is a very easy and useful approach.

A chord is two or more notes that are related to each other in some meaningful way. The notes in a chord will sound good together.

Sansula chord diagrams are easy to understand.
Numbers indicate the role the note plays in the chord.

1	= the root
3-	= the minor 3rd
5	= the 5th
8	= the root note, an octave up
9	= the 9th

Listen to Am9 on the Sansula - just these 5 notes.

Fortunately, the sansula is organized so that everything you do on it sounds beautiful! You can play these notes together, or in any order in an arpeggio, and they will sound perfect.
