February 22, 2007 The Sansula comes with this wonderful song built into it, but after a while you might begin to feel that it is a one-trick pony. Of course, both of these are related to the Sansula's tuning. By changing the tuning, we can hopefully find other tricks or songs that are equally compelling. Here is the standard Sanula tuning and also a new Sansula tuning which is akin to the Morocco tuning I use on the Alto or Treble kalimbas.
I came up with this tuning while fiddling around with KTabS, which allows you to write a piece of music for a certain kalimba and then change the tuning on that kalimba virtually - so you can experiment with how that piece would sound in a different tuning - a tremendous feature of KTabS. ; |
