The G minor Karimba
Another Song

This is the MP3 for a GREAT song for the G minor karimba called Yekermo Sew (by Mulatu Astatke).

I first heard this song in the movie Broken Flowers, and have also heard it on NPR. I believe Yekermo Sew is originally from a 50s or 60s recording by an Ethiopian jazz band called the Ethiopiques.

You need the G minor tuning to be able to play this song—after you are in the minor tuning, it all falls into place.
