Play Each Day and Be Prepared for Inspiration
You have experienced peak moments in your music, with kalimba or with another
instrument. Be prepared! You cannot make the peak experiences happen,
but you can be ready for them.
For example, play the kalimba for 20-30 minutes each day.
Be familiar with it. Be friends with it. Know special things about it,
where it likes to go. And then you will be ready for those times
when inspiration strike. It could be a song that you are inspired to write,
or a recording, or just some amazing music that comes through you,
in part because you were ready to handle the magic of that moment.
Of course, you can also get to that place where your daily playing
invites inspiration into your life.
