The Power of the Song
The Chain of Action in a Song

When you perform a song, it is easy to not be present the way you need to be. So think of the song as something that lets emotion and truth and love and whatever else flow from some great reservoir through you and your instrument and your voice, straight into the hearts of other people.

Once the energy of a song is in someone's heart, its potential is immense. Sometimes people aren't listening very well and/or sometimes you aren't working very well. So let the vision of this chain of action guide you: cosmic reservoir of emotion through you into the hearts of listeners... This expectation can help you be very present as you perform.
