Use the Kalimba to Relax in the Evening
Many people don't play the kalimba as a musical instrument
in the same way as you would play guitar or piano. They
don't know what notes they are playing, and they don't learn
songs, and they often don't play repeatable riffs.
But these folks still derive a sense of peace or joy from the
kalimba. Many of them report that they play in the evening,
or after they lay down in bed, and use the gentle sounds of
the kalimba to help them unwind and relax.
Of course, if you use the kalimba as a high-powered musical
instrument and learn Bach, African tunes, folk songs, or
Beatles songs, you can still listen to its gentle voice in the
evening as you lay down to go to sleep.
