Christmas Performances and Beyond

Every year as we gear up for the holiday season, I start to get all tingly. It's not that I like Christmas so much, but Christmas music. And I especially like to blow people's minds with Christmas music on the kalimba, and move hearts and emotions like a little nostalgic music box that magically knows all your favorite Christmas carols!

If you are going to be in the Tucson area, I invite you to come to one or more of my holiday performances:

• December 2, 1:30pm - Mountain View Senior Living
• December 2, 7:00pm - Fellowship Square Senior Living
• December 8, 6:00pm - Bell Court Gardens Senior Living
• December 10, Noon - 3:00pm - Kalimba Magic Open House at 775 S Irving Ave
• December 11, 6:00 - 8:00pm - Zoo Lights - $5?
• December 16, 7:00 - 9:00pm - Christmas Concert and Raise the Roof fundraiser for the Quaker House - 931 N 5th Ave. - $10-$20 suggested donation.
• December 17, 2:00pm - Amber Lights Senior Living
• December 17, 6:00pm TKMA Fundraiser at UU Church, 4831 E 22nd St. - $5?

Baba Marimba!

I am really excited about a band that I recently joined: Baba Marimba. It consists of Stu Mortimer, Robert "Swami" Peizer, Heidi Wilson, Mike Ankomeus, Ali Sherbiny and me. I play AMI Marimbas, kalimbas and guitar in the band.

We play January 7 at the Movement Shala, 435 E. 9th St., just off 4th Ave. here in Tucson.
