Want to make beautiful sounds effortlessly? While musical talent helps, you can still make lovely, even magical sounds on the kalimba, even if you don't have any confidence in your musical abilities. While this is actually true of all kalimbas to some extent, it is especially true of the Hokema kalimbas. First, the Hokema kalimbas have very soft tines, making them easy, smooth, and soothing to play. But more important, these instruments have note layouts that really make delightful songs spring forth easily. The sansula is roughly based on the note layout of the ancient African karimba, mystical-sounding Japanese Ake Bono scale (an A minor pentitonic scale). It is compatible with the A minor Hokema Pentatonic kalimba, but these sansulas are also available in other tunings.
New on the Beautiful Music Kalimba Scene are the 2B Kalimbas - be sure to check them out as well!
